PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Weaving Stories was a multi-year interactive exhibition and outreach initiative fostering new perspectives on the weaving heritage of Sadu and the stories these textile hold. Through a collective effort led by the Al Sadu House, a museum and cultural center under the leadership of Sheikha Altaf Al-Sabah, this initiative hosted an exhibition, workshop series, and outreach program focused on increasing the awareness and knowledge of textile arts and their cultural role. Weaving Stories partnered with local and international communities of artists and educators to develop unique programs that create the space for learning and interacting with the tradition of sadu weaving.
