PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

A space for both education and contemplation, the long-term exhibit With Every Fiber features innovative solutions, including a tapestry of bio-based materials designed by the Yale Center for Ecosystems + Architecture, alongside contributions from poets, photographers, theologians, and others.

In collaboration with Yale CEA, Lesli curated fabrics from all over the globe to be used in the bio-materials wall installation in the exhibition space. Each selected material was in alignment with the sustainability criteria set forth by Yale CEA, traceable to the maker and raw material source. In collaboration with Ricketts Studio, these fabrics were meticulously hand dyed with indigo grown and processed at his farm in Indiana.

Launched at Grace Farms in 2020, Design for Freedom is a collaborative global movement to eliminate forced labor in the building materials supply chain.
